Diane Terman

Diane Terman is recognized as a public relations leader, creative media strategist and a reputation management specialist. With her insightful mind and diverse portfolio of contacts, Diane has transformed her own start-up into a public relations powerhouse.

As a New York Times bestselling author of ‘The Money Club’ (published by Simon and Schuster) and sought after lecturer, Diane has spoken at universities including Harvard, NYU, Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications, Cornell and Boston University.

Diane has lectured on women’s issues at The Smithsonian Institute, The World Bank, and at Fairchild Publications’ Annual Conference. She has received the Star Award from the Women Presidents’ Organization and the Women of Distinction Award from Conde Nast. She co-founded the 008 Women’s Investment Club and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Women Executives in Public Relations, the Women Presidents’ Organization, Cosmetic Executive Women, and the Financial Women’s Association.

Diane is deeply committed to numerous charitable and philanthropic organizations. She co-founded The Women’s Health Institute at NYU’s Tisch Hospital and the Grandparents for Grandparents Foundation. She serves on philanthropic and municipal boards, including the New York City Police Museum and the FDNY Fire Safety Education Foundation. She is an avid supporter of Lenox Hill Hospital, the Young Women’s Leadership Network and countless others.


Deborah Kerner

Deborah Kerner has been a force in the beauty industry for over 25 years. Her unique ability to guide a client’s growth is evident in the way she has introduced and repositioned products and brands for Laura Geller, Prestige Cosmetics, Duane Reade’s Apt.5 Cosmetics and SinfulColors. Upon graduating from Syracuse University in 1989, Deborah held a succession of executive jobs at Revlon that included marketing, PR and special events. This experience gave her the foundation to forge ahead into a PR career within the beauty industry.

Deborah joined Diane Terman PR as an account executive in 1991 and worked her way to becoming President. As the strategic leader of the beauty division, she spearheads all media placements as well as social media, website content and other public relations activities. She has leveraged her deep understanding of the highly competitive beauty industry to help her clients succeed in a frequently changing marketplace.

Deborah is a member of Cosmetic Executive Women and is a networking professional connecting with the best contacts for her clients. Her strong media contacts have been reinforced by involvement in trend-setting events like The Sundance Film Festival and New York Fashion Week and behind-the-scenes participation in TV’s ‘Dancing with the Stars.’


Ted Silverstein

Ted Silverstein is a leader who specializes in digital transformation and helping organizations of all sizes use existing and emerging technology to generate revenue and deepen customer relationships.

He has led the development of innovative and creative solutions for web, mobile, interactive media, email, video, search, social media, kiosk, and experiential. Ted brings an in-depth experience across customer segments (B2C, B2B, eCommerce), multiple industries (CPG, Luxury, Pharmaceutical, Business Services, Media, Non-Profit, Healthcare, and Communications/Telecom), company settings (Start- ups, Fortune 500) and channels. He has built and led multiple digital media teams with responsibilities that include strategy, marketing, creative direction, P&L, product development, personnel, account management, and business development.


Karen Perry-Weinstat

Karen Perry-Weinstat brings a career in marketing, media and nonprofits to her role at Diane Terman PR, along with entrepreneurial vision and accomplishment to help guide its clients. As a media director at Saatchi & Saatchi and other top NYC advertising agencies, Karen worked on Fortune 100 accounts such as Colgate-Palmolive and General Mills. She added to her media and marketing portfolio with positions in publishing and broadcast television.

Most notably, Karen devised and successfully brought to market, Event Journal, Inc., a company that innovated the first digital ad journal for fundraising events. The company is now in its 15th year and provides marketing services including websites, email marketing and digital presentations to a long list of national, regional and local institutions and charities.

Karen participates in numerous boards and professional organizations to keep current with industry topics and trends. She has won awards for entrepreneurial acumen and was featured in Newsday’s “Executive Suite” as an inspiring female executive. Karen earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from the Pennsylvania State University and her Master’s in Social Work from Adelphi University in New York.


Jo-Ann Geffen

Jo-Ann Geffen is an entertainment industry veteran and CEO of JAG Entertainment, our West Coast affiliate. Her areas of expertise include entertainment (TV, film and music talent, companies), authors, sports, the health and fitness sectors, non-profit companies, education, events, and products, with additional specialties in branding, crisis management and social media.


Sarina Appel

New York native Sarina Appel is a communications and marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience generating and executing brand strategies for large-scale companies and boutique clients in the health, consumer packaged goods, parenting, fashion, technology, and nonprofit industries. In addition to securing placements in traditional media and online platforms, she guides branded events and strategic collaborations to effectively engage existing and target consumers.

Sarina has delivered unique communications programs for several industry giants and has launched more than 100 brand partnerships, each time garnering significant media coverage and industry chatter.

Derek Grover

Derek Grover runs the day-to-day operations at Diane Terman Public Relations. He knows every client, every issue and every aspect of the business.

Derek received a Bachelors degree with honors in mathematics and English at Marquette University. He studied British Literature at University College at Oxford, taught English at Rutgers University and Marquette, before earning his Master of Arts in English Literature at New York University.
